John Michaels Fleming was a cherished figure in the Whitefish Community and Flathead Valley. For much of his career, his welcoming voice greeted listeners every morning as the host of the Bear Morning Country Club. Additionally, he earned the endearing title of "The Voice of the Whitefish Bulldogs," faithfully broadcasting nearly every game, whether at home or away. Whitefish held a special place in John's heart; it was where he raised his three daughters and built a loving home with his wife of 40 years. Known for his kindness and humility, John embodied the principle of giving selflessly. He approached every opportunity to help others with a warm smile, profoundly impacting the lives of countless individuals in his community.
The sudden loss of John in the fall of 2023 left a significant void, but his legacy of compassion and community spirit lives on. In his memory, his family has established a scholarship for Whitefish High School seniors who embody his kind and giving nature. Through community support and local events, we aim to honor John Michaels' spirit by continuing to give back to his beloved community.
